We now offer half day and full day fully guided quail hunts. Quail hunting with the best bird dogs and professional guide service, our guides have over 20 years of experience hunting wild quail. The classic English Setters and Pointers will find multiple bird coveys scattered throughout the fallow fields and mature pine stands. These bird dogs are the best in the country and are trained to hold steady to wing and shot.
Experience the thrill of a large covey rise of bob white quail with our native Boykin spaniels flushing and retrieving our quarry.
Plantation Style Guided Quail Hunts are conducted either by foot or on our quail buggy.
The Quail buggy can comfortably hold up to 6 guests and all their guns, ammo, and gear.
A plantation style hunt is composed of wild quail coveys and pre released quail. On all of our plantation quail hunts we offer an unlimited amount of quail. We typically only shoot covey rise and only shoot at singles if the dogs point them on the way to the next covey.
What to expect on a typical day of plantation quail hunting.
Our typical hunting party is a group of 4 hunters, alternating 2 guns at a time per covey.
We average 20-30 coveys of quail a day. Sometimes the wild birds will flush in thick places not offering a great shot while other times they meet their demise with a 20ga. in an open fallow field. Some days that the weather is not ideal we find less birds and other days we find more.
Rates:
600 per full day (includes lunch, refreshments, and unlimited quail)
350 per half day (includes refreshments and unlimited quail)
